What’s Vungle Been Up To? (Q2 2019 Recap)
So what has Vungle been up to? Since our rebrand in March, we’ve traveled the globe showing off Vungle’s new colors, educating our community on industry trends, and guiding them in ways they can grow their mobile app business.
We kicked things off with Mobile Apps Unlocked (MAU) where we shared the MGM Grand Hotel with thousands of screaming Jonas Brothers fans who were not trying to further their understanding of mobile acquisition and retention, but rather waiting to see the Billboard Music Awards. More exciting than the Jonas Brothers was the deep-dive by Vungle’s very own creative expert, Gavin, on how the right data-driven creatives can help brands snag high-quality users.
We celebrated our clients at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. with an interactive jazz performance and cocktails before joining the energetic mass of indie developers at Pocket Gamer Connects in Seattle. Vungle joined a panel of monetization experts, where our Global Head of Supply, Matt, shared his vision of the future of in-app monetization, followed by our Performance Optimization Lead, Rina, with a talk about the thorn in the mobile industry’s side — ad fraud. Rina shared Vungle’s tips and tricks for identifying and preventing fraudsters as they continually evolve their tactics.
We then headed over to London for Casual Connect and gave Gavin a chance to introduce heat mapping, one of the data-driven techniques used in the crafting of Vungle ads. Gavin explained how this data helps us see exactly where users interact in our creatives, which helps Vungle make better decisions that drive higher conversions and higher retention.
We closed out our London trip with a bang by celebrating our new office in Farringdon. Vungle is proud to add another homebase from which to serve our customers better!
Finally, we landed in Seoul for Vungle World Tour, the best thought leadership seminar in advertising and monetizing! Rovio’s VP of Advertising, Jarkko Rajamaki, and Yongwoo Choi, Director at BitMango, shared some interesting strategies and success stories that resonated deeply with our developer-heavy crowd. Afterward, we got to know our customers a little bit better with a patio party.
See you at the next event!
