Vungle Supports UK Communities
As of December 2019, leading UK homeless outreach organization Shelter estimates over 320,000 homeless people across the country, with over 50% displaced on the streets of London. And during the COVID-19 pandemic, UK food banks are struggling to keep up with demand. Vungle’s mantra — think globally, act locally — inspired our London-based employees to take action.
Here are some of the ways we’re helping:
- We continue supporting local business City Pantry by ordering lunches from them, partnering with City Harvest to redirect food to organizations that feed the vulnerable. So far, over 200 meals have been redirected.
- Vungle distributes lunches to two local hospitals, St. Mary’s and Charing Cross.
- We plan to order non-perishables and toiletries from Ocado, which prioritizes elderly and vulnerable customers.
