The Drum’s Digital Advertising Awards US Winners Revealed: Vungle Receives Accolades

Vungle is  honored to have been awarded Best Mobile Campaign in The Drum Digital Advertising Awards US 2020. We were commended for our campaigns to deliver UN/WHO messages around Covid-19 and support charities through ad development and serving. The Drum’s jury commented: “We love this, smart, simple, rapid, right tone campaign. It made sense, connects 50 countries and considered different languages to make it easy and collaborative.”

We saw this as an fantastic opportunity to apply our design talent, data analytics, and gaming expertise to create playable ads that amplify these messages to our gaming audience worldwide. So rallying with Si Crowhust, VP of Vungle Creative Labs  and his team to respond to  the UN/WHO’s Global Call Out to Creatives to help stop the spread of Covid-19 was a no brainer. 

Our ads have achieved 53m views so far, and Vungle has also handled the creative development and ad-serving for a number of charities, achieving click rates as high as 31.62% on certain ads (Make-a-Wish). 

This campaign proves out that in-app advertising is a powerful platform to get the word out on key public health messages, reaching over a million people a day, and galvanizing support for charities who need help now more than ever.  It’s embedded in Vungle’s DNA to care deeply about our global community.
