The Vungalow: Meet Udit, Account Director, Demand
Welcome back to the Vungalow, where we can meet one of the dedicated team members who help Vungle become your trusted guide for mobile growth and engagement. We managed to pull Udit, our Account Director for Demand, off his ATV so he could answer our questions.
Hi, Udit! Tell us what you do here at Vungle, and what your typical day is like.
As a strategic Account Director for Demand, I’m based out of Vungle’s Singapore office and I’m responsible for all our advertiser relationships in South and Southeast Asia across Gaming UA, Brand UA, and programmatic. A typical day involves spending time in Looker, MMX, and other reporting platforms to determine what had transpired the previous day. Based on the information I collect, I speak with our customers, suggest courses of action, and listen to their pain points.
After a quick lunch break with the team in the lounge, I hold internal meetings with Vungle Creative Labs, our Performance Ops team, and Finance. I also research my prospective customers.
We usually have a quick coffee break in the lounge at around 4:00pm. Then I schedule new business calls, plan out my next business trip, and leave the office to hit the gym.
What’s your favorite memory about working here?
Hard to choose when there have been some really great times at Vungle over the past three years. But I will never forget my first week as the first hire for Southeast Asia. I joined Vungle in our Tokyo office (we didn’t have an office in Singapore) and by my sixth day I was on my first multinational business trip to meet clients in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore. We returned from that trip with a lot of new business!
What inspires you in the morning?
The pressure and recognition that come with being responsible for an entire region. Every day, that inspires me to strive for more.
You’re hosting a dinner party and can invite any three guests (alive or deceased). Who are they and why did you choose them?
Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Jimi Hendrix. All three belong to the infamous “27 Club” — great musicians, but short-lived.
What’s your favorite video game?
FIFA by EA. I’ve played every version from 1998 to 2019 on PC, mobile, Nintendo, and PlayStation — and I also competed in amateur FIFA tournaments during college.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza or ice cream. I wouldn’t mind if it’s always the same flavor.
We hope you enjoyed meeting Udit! Come back next time to meet another awesome Vungler transforming the mobile ad tech industry.
