Appsflyer recently released their first-ever Gaming Performance Index, analyzing user retention rates across 50 million paid installs from integrated network partners.
Vungle placed #1 for mobile user retention, demonstrating the highest average user retention across iOS and Android combined over 1, 7, and 30-day periods. When averaged across both platforms, Vungle provided the strongest gaming LTV out of the 25 ad partners in the report.
Video Emerges as Leading Mobile Acquisition Channel
Appsflyer found video networks to be the top source of gaming LTV, driving an 80% higher retention rate than other channels – as well as 24% higher retention than social networks.
“Video proves to be a solid bet when it comes to user acquisition—showing not only a high retention rate but also the ability to drive scale,” says the Appsflyer report.
